Northumberland County Council Apprenticeships
The Northumberland County Council apprenticeship programme allows people to work for the council to develop their skills and knowledge whilst gaining a qualification. All apprentices will:
- Be employed by the council
- Earn a wage
- Follow a training programme
- Receive both on and off the job training
- Develop their skills to ensure they can do the job well

Our employability team
We offer a number of employment and skills programmes, in partnership with Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and North of Tyne Combined Authority. We also work with local businesses matching people in Northumberland with vacancies, or work experience.
