Breastfeeding Friendly Scheme
Breastfeeding Friendly Scheme
Find local places to breastfeed. Businesses can join the scheme.
Breastfeeding is important to us. This is why we are Breastfeeding Friendly and all our public venues are accessible for feeding. Our employees have a bespoke training programme.
Register for the Breastfeeding Friendly Scheme, to show support to breastfeeding mothers.
Benefits of breastfeeding
Breastfeeding has many benefits for the mother, child, and family.
Breast milk offers protection for babies against:
- gastroenteritis
- respiratory and ear infections
- less likely to develop diabetes, eczema and asthma
- less likely to become obese
Mothers are less likely to develop:
- diabetes
- osteoporosis
- breast and ovarian cancer
Breastfeeding burns about 500 calories a day and saves money. No need for feeding gear or formula.
