Based on the most recent weather forecast we plan to carry out gritting from 5:30pm on Thursday 23rd January 2025 on the following routes: Allendale, Alnwick 1, Alnwick 2, Alnwick 3, Alnwick 4, Bearl 1, Bearl 2, Bearl 3, Bearl 4, Bearl 5, Bearl 6, Bellingham 1, Bellingham 2, Berwick 1, Berwick 2, Cowley 1, Cowley 2, Cowley 3, Cowley 4, Cowley 5, Haltwhistle 1, Haltwhistle 2, Morpeth 1, Morpeth 2, Morpeth 3, Otterburn 1, Otterburn 2 and Rothbury. Then from 03:30am on Friday 24th January 2025 on the following routes: Allendale and Otterburn 1. Tonight, will become dry with clear spells for a time. However, thick cloud will build back in during the early hours, bringing in a band of heavy rain and hill snow. Turning windy and gusty. Tomorrow will be exceptionally windy with the risk of gales and strong gusts. Cloudy and wet to start but rain soon clearing, leaving cloudy skies and a few isolated showers. Turning clear by evening.
