The Housing Strategy for Northumberland 2019 - 2022  outlines the council's ambitions for housing delivery with provision for both rural and urban communities. The Strategy also provides details of the strategic objectives for the council's Housing Service for the next three years.

The Homelessness and Rough Sleeper Strategy for Northumberland 2022-2026 outlines our priorities and future actions for tackling and preventing homelessness over the next four years. A Homelessness and Rough Sleeper Strategy Action Plan will be developed to detail how the priorities of the strategy will be delivered.
Housing Services Domestic Abuse Policy and Procedure 2020
The Housing Services Domestic Abuse Policy sets out how Northumberland County Council's Housing Service will assist and support any tenant experiencing or threatened with domestic abuse.
The Housing Services Domestic Abuse Prodedure underpins the Domestic Abuse Policy and is in place to ensure that we provide a service which effectively assists and supports any person living in one of our properties and experiencing, or being threatened with, domestic abuse.

Private Sector Housing Strategy
The Private Sector Housing Strategy (2021- 23) sets out how we will work with our partners to improve the offer to our residents. It explains how we will work with private landlords, tenants and letting agents to ensure that the private rented sector is flexible, affordable and well managed to meet people's needs. It sets out how we will work with owner occupiers to deliver the advice and support they need to care for their homes.
